Dr. Nancy Trimboli reached out to me a few months ago, after episode 75 with David Nour, titled “Health NXT: Healthcare Is Broken, Let’s Fix It Together.” She had a really interesting response and I’d like to share it with you:
“I agree with the line of thinking, but I also disagree. I, like you, hope to see radical changes in healthcare before I die. For you, it’s seeing medical doctors and holistic providers working together (as in health coaches working with medical professionals.) For me, it’s toppling what I call the System, which stifles safe, effective holistic health paradigms. Here’s where I disagree: It will not be you, or me, or legislation, or any other professional group that will make changes. It will be our patients, clients and listeners. They have the power.”
I love this idea — that we are the most important player in our own healthcare and can be the catalyst to change a broken system — and this idea lies at the heart of Dr. Trimboli’s soon-to-be-released book, Stealth Health: Take Back Your Power and Unravel the Mystery of You.
Stealth Health is written for the person who knows there is a better way towards health than medications and surgery but might not know how to access it. There is often a better way right outside their back door, but you know what they say — you don’t know what you don’t know.
